The South Shore, located in Northwest Indiana and home of the Indiana Dunes National Park, is the perfect destination for your next sporting event. Situated just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, our centralized location along major thoroughfares like I-65, I-80/90 and US 30 make us easily accessible from almost anywhere in the United States.

The South Shore offers sports and event owners the necessary tools to plan events and tournaments of any size. This includes site inspections, housing coordination (online hotel reservation system - includes rebate back to event), organizing special events, coordinating and designing marketing campaigns and securing sponsors.

Venue Information

Crown Point Sportsplex

95-acre multi-use outdoor sports complex featuring 2 synthetic turf multi-purpose fields marked for football, soccer and lacrosse and 10 natural grass, illuminated baseball/softball fields, including a champion field with stadium seating.

The Hallmark Sports Complex

Soccer complex with 20 acres of natural grass fields that accommodate 4-8 full-sized (75x120 yard), 2-4 U12 (60x75 yard), 2-4 U10 fields. The site can also be used for lacrosse, quidditch and ultimate frisbee.

Lincoln Center Fieldhouse

4 full-size basketball/volleyball courts with additional space for other activities such as dance, cheer, pickleball and table tennis. walking track and fitness center. Additional amenities include an indoor walking track, fitness center, large banquet room and community rooms.

Hammond Sportsplex

135,000-square-foot sports complex featuring 6 full-size, hardwood, basketball/volleyball courts, 2 indoor artificial turf soccer fields and an elevated walking track. Additional amenities include a large community room, concessions and a Union Bar & Lounge. This venue is perfect for volleyball, basketball, soccer, wrestling, corn hole, pickleball, and more!

Dean and Barbara White Community Center

3 full-size basketball/volleyball courts, indoor elevated walking track, rock climbing wall and an outdoor, artificial turf field marked for football, soccer and lacrosse. Other amenities include community rooms, pre-function space, outdoor patio, event center and fitness center.

Hobart Aquatic Center

50-meter pool with 10 lanes, 4-1 meter and 1-3 meter diving boards and 2 bulkheads. Depth ranges from 4.5’-13’ and can accommodate multiple configurations to fit all event needs.

U.S. Steel Yard Baseball Stadium

Home to the Gary SouthShore Railcats, members of the American Association of Professional Baseball, an official partner League of Major League Baseball. The stadium seats 6,139 people.

Olympia Lanes

40 lanes featuring computerized scoring, game room, pro shop, concessions and bar/lounge. Home of the PBA50 South Shore Championships.

Lemon Lake

5-18 hole championship disc golf courses. On site is also a Flight Center Disc Golf Proship and concessions. This venue is open for tournament and league play and hosts numerous PDGA sanctioned tournaments.

I have used the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority for all my Beverly Bandits hotel needs as well as all of the hotel needs for teams needing assistance while playing at PGF tournaments in Crown Point and couldn't be happier with the level of service provided.
